Information and Communications Technology comprises technologies intended for the manipulation and communication of information. Recent developments have made Information and Communications Technology into a pervasive influence on all facets of human society and culture.
According to Leo Tolstoy, the great Russian philosopher, “Art, at its simplest, is a form of communication; and is actually the use of indirect means to communicate from one person to another.” In keeping with this approach, OrgPEOPLE seeks to create a universally accessible and freely available IT-enabled platform to explore the exciting synergy between the fields of Information Technology and Art.
OrgPEOPLE has been working with school managements, art teachers and parents to encourage student artists to experience the thrill of employing ICT to support their artistic activities. The projects of OrgPEOPLE are directed towards the development of a wider appreciation of the possibilities of incorporating ICT in art-activities in schools, among educationists and others concerned in art education.
