The Directors:
OrgPEOPLE, set up in the year 2000, is headed by two dynamic and dedicated individuals, possessing versatile talents, and whose teamwork epitomises the power in the adage ‘unity in diversity.’ Sri Vinay Varma Raja and Artist Nandan Pillai, the two full-time Directors of OrgPEOPLE, are different in every way including family background, academic qualification and professional exposure. However, in their own way, each of them possesses a strong sense of social commitment as well as a deep-rooted commitment to work for the betterment of existing systems of governance. Over the years, each of them has complemented the other’s talents and skills to evolve widely acceptable and surprisingly effective methods of using ICT to facilitate meaningful communication between individuals as well as their systems of governance.
The management of community-focused programmes devolves upon Sri Vinay Varma Raja, a post-Graduate from the U.S.A (U of D, 1992), who did his basic schooling in Mumbai and later studied for a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Mumbai. After his Post-graduate studies, he was awarded a scholarship to the University of Delaware in the U.S.A from where he obtained his Master’s Degree. Vinay, who spent several years in the U.S.A before returning to work in India, is the third son of Sri Ravi Varma of the Cochin Royal family, who retired as Director of the Reserve Bank of India. Sri Vinay Varma Raja is the grandnephew of the late Col. G.V. Raja, the well-known sports personality of yore.
